BCI Samara 2020
BCI Samara 2020 was very unusual — the first (and hopefully the last) once completely virtual. It was also the first time she was a part of Samara NeuroWeek, a series of exciting events dedicated to neuroscience and neurotechnology. It was a very difficult time, but it also brought a lot of opportunities — and in the end everything went very well.
We had a great team of almost 50 speakers, among them:
- Slimane Bensmaya (University of Chicago, USA)
- Peter Brunner (Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, USA)
- Christoph Guger (gtec, Austria)
- Alexander Kaplan (Moscow State University, Russia)
- Mikhail Lebedev (HSE, Russia)
- Sang-wan Lee (Korea University)
- Lee Miller (Northwestern University, USA)
- Vadim Nikulin (Max Planck Institute, Germany)
- Alexey Osadchy (HSE, Russia)
- Sergey Shishkin (MGPPU MEG Center, Russia),
- Junichi Ushiba (Keio University, Yokohama)
- Jonathan Walpow (NCAN, USA)
More than 30 oral reports were presented at three symposiums. There were 8 workshops, a panel discussion and open lectures.
But that wasn't all: Samara NeuroWeek 2021 included a virtual exhibition and such large-scale events as a conference on cognitive health, the final of NeutotechCup 2020, and a hackathon. BR41N.IO , Olympiad in Neurophysiology, documentary film festival …
Thus, despite all the circumstances, BCI Samara 2020 has become even more significant and even better.
