The first international conference "Neurocomputer Interface: Science and Practice" was held in Samara on September 25-26, 2015.
Despite the debut of the event and its profile orientation, more than 120 listeners from different cities of Russia were present in the hall.
The conference program included presentations on the retrospective and future development of neural interfaces, current problems of their development and application, social and medical aspects, mathematical and technical issues. The audience gathered in the university lecture hall — researchers, doctors, graduate students, students, engineers, programmers, heads of innovative organizations — reacted with keen interest to the reports and asked a large number of questions.
The scientific part was implemented in two formats: a planar meeting was held on the first day, and thematic sections were organized on the second day. 12 reports were made by scientists and practitioners from Austria, Russia, and the USA. The conversation continued at the official reception.
The next day, section meetings were held, a meeting with the rector of SamSMU, the guests were shown the laboratories of the Center for Breakthrough Research of SamSMU "Information Technologies in Medicine", the university research and production technopark and Clinics of the Medical University, the sights of Samara.
